![]() From Sarlat, the bustling touristic centre of the ‘Périgord Noir’, follow the Dordogne Valley to Cazoulès, the gateway to the ‘Lot’ region. With clear, fresh waters, the small Céou River offers perfect areas for picnicking, bathing and relaxing.įollowing the railway track, the route between Sarlat and Souillac is the longest of the region’s cycle paths, complete with a lit 400m long railway tunnel. This route combines cycle paths and small roads and leads 25km to ‘L’Abbaye Nouvelle’ in the neighbouring ‘Lot’ region. 3km from the campsite, in Castelnaud, you will find a cycle path (known as a ‘voie verte’ in French because of their green colour) through the Céou Valley as well as off-road paths.įrom Castelnaud in the Dordogne Valley follow the cycle path down the narrow Céou Valley. The campsite is a perfect starting point for those interested in both road and off-road cycling. Equipped with full safety equipment, you can scale the side of the cliff at your leisure whilst taking in the breathtaking views over the Dordogne Valley and its villages. Situated just 1.5km from the campsite, the Via Ferrata at the Marqueyssac Gardens guarantees adrenaline-filled fun with amazing views! The Via Ferrata is a 200m long tightrope on the side of the garden’s famous cliffs. ![]() ![]() Walking cards with maps and directions are available at the campsite reception. The routes are easily accessible for most people and are of varying distances. The many hiking trails around Beynac, Vézac and along the Dordogne are a fantastic way to discover the areas around the campsite. ![]()
